Through Christian Restoration Ministries, http://www.crmint.org Blazing Torch Ministries currently sponsor Thomas who is overseeing the child sponsorship scheme run in Uganda by CRM and the building of a school of which he will be the headteacher.
CRM report 'Our latest project is at Nanywa, which is just south of Bombo, situated some 20 miles north of Kampala. Here we intend to build a school, a clinic and a conference/worship centre. God has provided us with 8 acres of land so far and the plans for the school are nearly completed; we hope that the school will be built by mid 2007. In this area only 2% of an estimated 18,000 children go to school. In Uganda, like in England 100 years ago, education is not free; many local churches run "Sunday" schools throughout the week. Besides being taught, the children usually receive a hot meal each day.'
Thomas's Testimony
I was born in 1979 in an impoverished family in Kitti village, Uganda. I was born as a last born amongst 15 children and many died and we remained only six. I am the 15th who is now the sixth because most of my brethren died.
In 1987 I got saved through my eldest brother. I started preaching the gospel when I was still very young and I grew as a practical devoted minister. In 1997 I got a call to pastor, first as a youth pastor and as a pastor in 3 churches until God joined me with Apostle Bunjo.
The Divine connection with Apostle Bunjo came through a scripture union at National Teacher’s College where I was studying from and ministering as a pastor at a certain church. God made our hearts together and established our relationship.
